This market-facing position involves managing a significant portfolio across broker and agency channels. You will be responsible for achieving top-line and bottom-line targets in alignment with local and regional strategies, target segments, and underwriting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Team Lead in growing a profitable P&C portfolio across motor and non-motor business
- Manage renewal portfolio while identifying and developing new business opportunities in target segments
- Meet and exceed financial plans and targets
- Develop and strengthen client relationships to expand business opportunities
- Maintain regular contact with agents and brokers while establishing a strong market presence
- Collaborate with Head of Distribution HK and team leaders to develop and implement strategic sales plans
- Work cross-functionally to develop and execute business initiatives
- Support overall business objectives through additional projects as needed
- Promote companies mission and vision to enhance our reputation in the local market
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years of experience in business development and/or underwriting roles managing agent and broker channels
- Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination (IIQE) – Paper 1 & 2 certification required
- Proven track record of developing profitable portfolios
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing conditions
- Strong decision-making abilities and effective internal/external communication skills
- Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Results-oriented with self-motivation and strong ownership mindset
- Growth-oriented with a positive "can-do" attitude
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
