Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) has overall responsibility for managing Digital Business Services (DBS). DBS is the foundation of the organization. We provide essential support for the bank through operations, technology and key central business services.
The COO Office supports the Hong Kong COO and Chief Administration Officer (CAO) by working with teams internally and externally on the COO’s behalf, provides business management support (e.g. communications, strategy execution, financial management, governance and people engagement) and provides a wide range of employee services and benefits.
- The Engagement and Event Manager will report into the Senior Manager of Performance Services for Hong Kong.
- The role will provide broad exposure and potential career opportunities across a range of DBS areas.
- Plan, develop and end-to-end execution of internal communications, engagement strategy and events activities for DBS employees.
- Create content that is suitable for different internal and external communications channels, including media and social under tight timelines.
- Keep up-to-date on latest communication trends, insights, approaches/best practices and use of different tools and platforms for communications.
- Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness DBS services’ key events/activities/success stories/etc.
- Build close partnerships with globally/regional/market stakeholders to execute internal and/or external communication/engagement/strategic project in Hong Kong.
- Enhance external partnership and connect employees with community, sustainability, D&I goals.
- Measure, monitor and improve the effectiveness of communications and events regularly.
- Previous background of working in a matrix organisation structure.
- Previous experience with internal communications and people engagement event coordination is preferred.
- Flexible and adaptable being able to handle and prioritise multiple and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English, other language abilities are advantageous.
- Good relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills.
- Comprehensive ability to use Word, Power Point, Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint.
- Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to facilitate management decision.
- Ability and comfort to work across cultures.
